Repurposed Surface

Dozens of Art House members gathered at the museum for an incredible night with Knoxville-based collage artist, Heather Wolfe Smith.  (Heather owns Collage-A-Pet and creates masterpieces for her clients and their adoring animals.)

She led us on a journey to create an original piece of art to take home using found objects like sticks and twigs, bark,  acorns, rope, nails screws, yarn, bottle caps, old newspapers, broken pottery, dried flowers/silk flowers, rocks/pebbles, clean plastic recyclable items, leather, legos, small toys, marbles, stones, magazines, photos, colored paper, items from your favorite sports team, etc.

This family-friendly event pleased adults and children alike.  The creativity flowed as Heather made her way around the room, offering help where needed.

Mooyah’s served as the night’s caterer; everyone enjoyed the delicious burgers on the lawn before the event.  Everyone left with a beautiful work of art!

Big thanks to Heather, as well as Knoxville Graphic House for the goodie bags!
